I've been reading a great deal about mindfulness lately.
And lo and behold, I was presented a lesson.
I stubbed one of my little toes.
How is that a lesson in mindfulness, you ask?
Well, it took me a few days to figure that out.
I am still a slow learner, here in Earth School.
Having an injury teaches you to be mindful of movement.
Lest you bang that injured area once again.
And it occurred to me that had I been mindful of movement
in the first place, this might never have happened.
I am often multi-tasking.
Doing laundry, while carrying on a conversation, while fixing my breakfast, etc.
And as I add each "task" I am less mindful of the other tasks I am involved with.
So I'm wondering if the lack of mindfulness of movement is what results in our
stubbed toes, jammed fingers and banged elbows.
And I'm thinking this might just be a lesson from The Universe that I need to slow
down and enjoy the moment more.
Morning ramblings over coffee.
Good day to you.
