"Father, into your hands, I commend my spirit".
That is what Jesus said, just before he died on the cross.
A rather dark thought, but I think there was a lighter message in it.
It's about giving up what we cannot control.
The final thing we can't control is death.
But it would behoove us to get better about turning things over long before we reach that point.
Our spirits often become dark and hard to deal with,
when we cling to that which we have no control over.
They can also become lighter, when we give to our Higher Power,
the things He is better at fixing.
When something feels too heavy to carry,
maybe we aren't supposed to be carrying it in the first place.

Hi, Molly!
I was just going back and enjoying your photography and reading some of your earlier posts . . . and found this one! I really like it, and I agree whole-heartedly with your thoughts (your "ponderings")!!
We have help with any load - those too heavy to carry, and those we just don't understand, but when turned over to the One who is only too willing to carry our burdens for us, we can get through anything that's weighing us down!!
Love it . . . and you!!
